This could be the million dollar question! Have we been eating wrong all this time? Maybe some of us have, I for one like to mix things up and that may not the most effective strategy to shedding those extra pounds!
According to a 2012 study by the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition And Dietetics those who ate a large “low energy dense salad” vs a “high energy dense salad” ( one that was packed with creamy dressings and cheese) before their meals reduced energy intake and a helped to curb their appetite.
In addition to weight loss, eating in a certain order can also reduce you blood sugar spikes. According to Jesse Inchaupsé AKA The Glucose Goddess says that starting with salads, then proteins and ending your meal with a complex carbohydrates has been proven to flatten the spike.
